iNkosi yeSativa Co-operative is built to unite South Africa's cannabis growers and manufacturers under one powerful global brand: Durban Poison Official. Named after the "King of Sativa," this Co-op ensures the legacy communities who cultivated this legendary plant finally own its economic rights. Membership is 100% free for all South African ID holders. Every member is an equal shareholder with full voting rights over how the brand is managed and marketed globally. Just like French winemakers used a governing body to protect Champagne, or how South African farmers founded the KWV in 1918 to turn a struggling industry into massive generational wealth, we are using the Co-op model to secure an international Geographical Indication (GI). Once achieved, it means no other country—from California to the Netherlands—can ever legally use the name Durban Poison or even claim their product is "just like" it. By joining together, we ensure 100% of the global profits flow directly back to South African producers.
