Lineage Blueberry Strain Blueberry seeds, from the cross of Afghani, Thai and Purple Thai, produce a mostly Indica strain (80% Indica / 20% Sativa). It tends to show a berry, pine and sweet flavor with a strong, indica-leaning body high. This strain is world renowned for the beautiful blue and purple hues it develops in its buds and leaves. It also carries a High THC of 15% – 24%, making it a great choice for those looking for a strong, relaxing experience. Origin The Blueberry strain, renowned for its exceptional genetics, originated from American seeds. Developed in the 1970s, it is the result of crossing landrace strains from Thailand and Afghanistan, including Afghan kush and Fruity Juice. The goal was a strain with unique flavors and potent effects, and Blueberry delivered, giving rise to a whole family of blue varieties such as Blue moonrocks and Mataro Blue. In the 1990s, Amsterdam seed banks further refined Blueberry’s genetics, cementing its place in cannabis history. Known for its distinct fruity aroma and relaxing, euphoric effects, Blueberry has become a true classic, winning numerous awards and remaining a favorite among cultivators and consumers alike. Blueberry Strain Seeds Sativa or Indica? Blueberry is a mostly Indica strain (80% Indica / 20% Sativa), and its Afghani heritage clearly leads the experience. The indica side delivers a deep, calming body relaxation that settles muscles and quiets the mind, which is exactly why it is so often reached for at the end of the day and for easing arthritis, insomnia and pain. The 20% Sativa keeps the effect from turning purely sedative. It adds a light, happy lift that brightens the mood without pulling you out of that comfortable calm. Blueberry feminized seeds are bred to reinforce this indica-dominant balance, so growers get consistent plants with the strain’s signature relaxed, cheerful profile. Blueberry Strain Effects Blueberry is known for a smooth, calming effect that eases the body into deep relaxation while lifting the mood into a happy, contented state. The onset is gentle rather than overwhelming, making it comfortable even for less experienced users and a reliable choice for winding down in the evening. On the medicinal side, that calm, relaxed body feel is what makes Blueberry popular for managing arthritis, insomnia and pain. Recreationally, the mix of physical relaxation and a light, cheerful head keeps it well-rounded and easy to enjoy, which is a big part of why this classic strain has stayed a favorite for decades. Germinating Blueberry Seeds It is important to germinate your Blueberry Strain Plant carefully if you want to have a healthy harvest from day one. Although there are several methods to germinate our Feminized cannabis seeds, from Blimburn Seeds we recommend our customers to follow our easy and simple technique. Before removing our Blueberry Strain seeds from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. The PH of our hands full of bacteria can easily infect them and ruin our germination. Set Up Your Germination Station: Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location. Monitoring: Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing. Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ºF – 78.8 ºF (21 ºC – 26 ºC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them. Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not use alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products. Blueberry Strain Seeds Flowering Time Blueberry seeds flower in around 8 to 10 weeks, a manageable window for a mostly Indica strain. That relatively short cycle lets growers reach harvest without a long wait, which makes Blueberry an attractive option for both first-time and experienced cultivators. During flowering the plants develop dense, resin-coated buds that often take on the strain’s famous blue and purple hues as temperatures drop. The short flowering time does not cost quality: the buds keep their rich cannabinoid and terpene content, rewarding growers with potent, fragrant flowers packed with trichomes. How to Grow Blueberry strain seeds? BBlueberry Feminized seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions, to avoid any problems during their development. Although they are compact, robust and moderately easy to grow, we should always prevent any pests. You can use different growing methods to retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your Feminized Blueberry buds. Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention. Thanks to the experience of our customers with our Feminized Blueberry seeds, we know that we can increase yields by up to 20%. For optimal indoor cultivation, Blimburn Seeds advises wide, vertical spaces and the use of the ScrOG method to obtain a uniform canopy and increase the size of the lower flowers. If you plan to grow our Feminized seeds outdoors, we have developed a grow guide for optimal cultivation in any area of the world. Remember that our cannabis plants also need good nutrients as seedlings, in their vegetative period and finally in their flowering period. When you grow cannabis seeds outdoors, choose the best date for your crop and a place where the plants receive the most hours of sunshine. If on the other hand you prefer to grow your Feminized seeds indoors, use good tents, textile pots, led lighting, an air extractor to circulate clean air and, of course, a good carbon filter to avoid problems with neighbors or the law. Keep daytime temperatures between 68-80 ℉ and nighttime temperatures 7 to 9 ℉ cooler than the day. Blueberry Feminized plants need low humidity to thrive. Keep relative humidity (RH) at 55%-60% during the vegetative phase, reduce it to around 40% during flowering and to about 30% by harvest. Outdoors, breeders in the northern hemisphere should sow their cannabis seeds in April for harvest in mid October. Healthy Feminized Blueberry seeds produce about 19.4 oz/plant | 550 g/plant of buds each. Indoors, these crops have a flowering time of 8 – 10 weeks and produce about 1.64 oz/ft² | 500 gr/m². Optimal Climate for Growing Blueberry cannabis thrives in a subtropical or tropical climate with long, warm summers and mild winters. The ideal temperature range is 65-75 ℉ (18-24 ℃) for optimal growth and yield. It handles cooler temperatures better than many strains, but consistency is key: below 50 ℉ (10 ℃) the plant can stress, and above 86 ℉ (30 ℃) its growth can slow. In the United States, ideal states for Blueberry thanks to their climate include California, Florida and Hawaii, along with the southern parts of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. These regions offer the best outdoor conditions and complement the strain’s robust genetics for a generous harve
