What Advanced Nutrients Sensizym Does Below the Line
Every crop leaves something behind. Fine roots die back as the plant matures, and organic matter accumulates in the medium. Part of what you fed last week never gets taken up at all. That debris does not vanish on its own.

Every crop leaves something behind. Fine roots die back as the plant matures, and organic matter accumulates in the medium. Part of what you fed last week never gets taken up at all. That debris does not vanish on its own. It sits in the root zone where it holds water, feeds the wrong biology and occupies space the next root run needs. Enzymes are the tools that take it apart. This bottle carries xylanase, cellulase in more than one form, and beta-glucanase. Each one targets a different structural sugar in plant cell walls. Cellulase works on cellulose, xylanase on the hemicellulose around it, and beta-glucanase on the glucan chains that bind both. Between them they reduce dead root tissue to simpler compounds that beneficial microbes can finish off. The nutrients locked in that tissue return to the solution rather than staying stranded. Growers who reuse coco or rockwool between runs see the clearest benefit, since the medium enters the next cycle with less old material in it.
Where Advanced Nutrients Enzymes Fit in the Week
The rate is two millilitres per litre, once a week, and it does not change between the growth stage and bloom. That is one of the few schedules in this line with no ramp to remember. Add it to the reservoir with the tank running, after the base nutrients rather than before. Two points are worth saying plainly. Enzymes are proteins, and strong oxidisers take them apart the same way they take apart anything else organic. Dosing this alongside hydrogen peroxide or a hypochlorite sterilant in the same tank wastes both products. Pick one approach to reservoir hygiene and stay with it. The second point concerns temperature. An organic based additive in a warm reservoir feeds more than the biology you want. Keep the tank cool and the lid on. Advanced Nutrients gives the bottle a minimum shelf life of eighteen months and says it stays viable beyond that. This is not a pH Perfect product, so it will not move your tank pH on its own.
Key Features
Three Enzyme Classes: Xylanase, cellulase in more than one form, and beta-glucanase each target a different structural sugar.
One Rate All Cycle: Two millilitres per litre weekly, unchanged from the growth stage through bloom, with no ramp to track.
Reusable Media: Coco and rockwool go into the next run carrying less dead root material than they otherwise would.
Returns Stranded Nutrients: Breaking down old tissue releases what was locked inside it back into the working solution.
Eighteen Month Shelf Life: Advanced Nutrients gives a minimum of eighteen months and states the bottle stays viable past that.
Mixes With Any Line: It sits alongside pH Perfect and non pH Perfect base nutrients, supplements and competitor products.
