Air Box Jr. Coco Refill

When the Air Box Jr Coco Refill Is Due Carbon does not fail on a date, it fails on load. This cartridge is 100% premium virgin coconut charcoal for the Air Box Junior carbon housing, the 250 CFM unit on a 10 in flange. Two things tell you it is finished. Odour breaks through at the exhaust when the room is warmest, and airflow drops as loaded carbon adds static pressure. Humidity drives that faster than hours do, so a sealed room at high RH will get through media quicker than a dry one. The housing is steel and stays put, which is the entire economic case for a box filter over a throwaway cylinder. Fitting a Replacement Carbon Cartridge to a Junior Housing A replacement carbon cartridge for the Junior goes in from the face of the unit, so nothing gets unhung and no duct tape gets cut. Change the pre-filter at the same time. A loaded pre-filter shortens the life of the carbon behind it, and costs a fraction as much to replace. Handle the cartridge by its frame rather than its face, since compacted carbon sheds dust when squeezed and that dust ends up in the fan. Seat it flat and check the edges, as air will find any gap and go around rather than through. Write the fitting date on the frame in marker. A room running a spent cartridge usually reveals itself the moment somebody walks in from outside. The people working in it stopped noticing weeks earlier. Key Features Fits the Air Box Junior carbon housing: The 250 CFM exhaust unit on a 10 in flange. 100% premium virgin coconut charcoal: Activated media rather than a reactivated or blended carbon. Front loading: Goes in without unhanging the unit or breaking the duct connections. Change with the pre-filter: A loaded pre-filter shortens carbon life and costs far less to replace. Housing outlives the media: Steel body stays, so the ongoing cost is cartridges rather than whole filters.
