The flowering half of the two-part system, and the label is longer than most dry ferts bother with. Guaranteed analysis is 3% total nitrogen, 5% available phosphate and 5% soluble potash, with 5% calcium, 0.75% magnesium and 1% sulfur behind it. Three more items are declared that rarely appear on a granule: 0.6% humic acid, 0.9% yucca schidigera extract and 1.0% molasses. Yucca is a wetting agent and molasses is a microbial food. That is why this behaves less like a straight NPK and more like an amendment. Nineteen organic inputs make it up. They run from alfalfa, bat guano and blood meal through crustacean meal, fish bone meal, kelp, neem seed meal and rock phosphate. Beneficial bacteria are blended in as well, which is the part that needs living media to matter. The granule is dustless by design, and anyone who has amended a room with a powder knows exactly why that matters. Rates are 8 oz, which is a cup, per ten gallon pot every two weeks from the first signs of flowering. For native soil the rate is 1 oz, two tablespoons, per square foot.
Why This Case Format Suits an Organic Bloom Fertilizer
Ten sealed bags is a different proposition from one large sack, and the reason is moisture. A dry organic blend with molasses and bacteria in it does not enjoy sitting open in a humid room for a season. Opening one small bag at a time keeps the rest sealed until the week you need it. Work the case out on paper before comparing it to the larger bags. Forty pounds is six hundred and forty ounces. That is eighty pot feeds at the one-cup rate, or 640 square feet of native soil at an ounce per square foot. For a room running a dozen ten gallon pots on a fortnightly amendment, that is most of a flowering cycle. The two formulations run one to one across the programme. A case of this pairs with the same weight of the vegetative version. It does not suit anyone wanting one bag to try. The case is the wrong entry point and a single bag is the right one. It also assumes a living medium, since a sterile inert substrate gives the bacteria nothing to colonise.
Key Features
3-5-5 analysis: Three percent nitrogen, five phosphate, five potash on the label.
5% calcium: Plus 0.75% magnesium and 1% sulfur, declared on the same panel.
Humic, yucca and molasses: 0.6%, 0.9% and 1.0% respectively, which is unusual on a granule.
Nineteen organic inputs: Alfalfa, guano, blood, bone, crustacean, fish, kelp, neem and rock phosphate.
Beneficial bacteria included: Blended in, so the product behaves as an amendment not just a feed.
Dustless granule: Amending a room with this does not fill the air with powder.
Case of ten 4 lb bags: Forty pounds total, in sealed bags opened one at a time.
OMRI Listed and CDFA OIM: Cleared for certified organic production, including in California.
