VidaWool. Cultivate With Confidence VidaWool blocks provide the space and uniform water and nutrient distribution they need to continue thriving in their second stage of life. Equipped with a UV-protection liner and Hydro-Xtend™ water dispersion technology, VidaWool blocks are intelligently designed to deliver healthy, even root zones and consistent crop performance. Mineral wool growing media helps to give more steerability to the grower and eliminates the messy, time-consuming processes of other growing media, like filling pots and mixing materials. Applications VidaWool blocks are ideal for cultivation enterprises looking for reliable, repeatable, and efficient growing media solutions. VidaWool blocks, starter plugs, and slabs are designed to work as a system, for quick transplantation between growth stages that reduces error and guesswork. Features & Benefits Of VidaWool Rockwool Blocks Sink time: < 15 sec For reliable saturation and efficient use of water Water holding capacity: 85–95% Holds moisture and keeps it evenly distributed with Hydro-Xtend™ water dispersion technology Handling integrity: > 10 lbf Resists punctures for less loss and breakage, when wet and dry. Additional Features Hydro-Xtend water dispersion technology optimizes steerability of water content: Water doesn’t just sit in the bottom of the block. Facilitates root development through the entire block. Designed to work with three-stage VidaWool™ system to maximize efficient transplant of plugs into blocks, and blocks into slabs. Does not have to be stored in a climate-controlled environment. VidaWool growing medium is made from a minimum 70% recycled content and are designed to efficiently hold and use water, complementing sustainable growing operations. Hydro-Xtend Water Dispersion Technology VidaWool is equipped with Hydro-Xtend™ water dispersion technology to evenly distribute water and nutrients throughout the plug, block or slab. Other growing media demonstrate uneven water and nutrient dispersion creating wet and dry zones which leads to uneven root zones. VidaWool with Hydro-Xtend Water Dispersion and Nutrient Availability No dry zones Water and nutrients evenly dispersed Even root zone. UV Liner VidaWool blocks feature UV-resistant liners to reduce the proliferation of algae and conserve water. Other blocks are wrapped in single-ply, UV-penetrable material that allows light to penetrate, creating the ideal environment for algae growth. VidaWool with Hydro-Xtend UV-protection Liner UV-resistant liner to protect root health. Other rock wool growing media Light penetration can promote growth of algae and bacteria, leading to root rot. User Guide for VidaWool Blocks VidaWool performance is validated by third-party experts, that blocks perform as expected during the vital second phase of plant growth. The team of scientists and technicians behind VidaWool have developed these best practices for using your VidaWool blocks. Store VidaWool blocks do not need to be housed in a climate-controlled environment but should be kept dry until use. Store pallets no more than two high to avoid damage. Saturate and condition Saturate blocks by submerging for up to 1 minute in a nutrient solution adjusted to a pH of 5.5–6.0. As an alternative, spray with the nutrient solution until the entire block is completely saturated. Allow the blocks to drain for a couple of seconds before positioning them on your growing surface. Transplant plugs Pick and place VidaWool starter plugs directly into the block. No added force or shaping is required. Let's grow Use your desired fertigation system to help deliver water and nutrients to the VidaWool blocks, and the HydroXtend water dispersion technology designed to distribute it throughout the root zone to help grow healthy plants. Utilize The Entire Vidawool Rockwool Lineup A comprehensive system from propagation to harvest that utilizes plugs, blocks, and slabs. They are designed to work together so you can seamlessly graduate plants to their next growing stage. VidaWool Starter Plugs VidaWool Plugs are circular for seamless transitioning to grow blocks and come predrilled for rapid, precise seed or clone placement. VidaWool Starter Plugs VidaWool Blocks VidaWool Blocks are ideal for cultivation enterprises looking for reliable, repeatable, and efficient growing media solutions.
