Blueberry CBD (1:16) comes from crossing Blueberry, OG Kush CBD and Afghan CBD, producing a mostly Indica strain (60% Indica / 40% Sativa). It tends to show a piney, woody flavor over a subtle sweet undertone. It carries a Medium CBD content of 14% – 16% with a very low THC level of 0.5% – 0.6%, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a relaxing, non-intoxicating experience.
Origin
The Blueberry strain, renowned for its exceptional genetics, originated from American seeds. Developed in the 1970s, it is the result of crossing landrace strains from Thailand and Afghanistan, including Afghan Kush and Fruity Juice.
Known as a classic that has won numerous awards, Blueberry has here been crossed with CBD-rich genetics such as Afghan CBD and OG Kush CBD to achieve a very high CBD ratio and very low THC. The result is Blueberry CBD (1:16): the beloved Blueberry heritage reworked for therapeutic, non-intoxicating use.
Blueberry CBD Strain Sativa or Indica?
Blueberry CBD (1:16) is predominantly Indica (60% Indica / 40% Sativa), which gives it the calming, soothing effects typically associated with indica varieties. Combined with its high CBD and very low THC, that makes it an excellent choice for anyone seeking relaxation without an intense psychoactive high.
Growers are particularly drawn to its indica-dominant traits: a compact plant structure and a resilience that suits a range of conditions. That indica lead delivers a body-centered relaxation, so Blueberry CBD (1:16) is a preferred option for evening or nighttime use, blending therapeutic benefits with a mild, happy lift.
CBD Blueberry (1:16) Effects
Blueberry CBD (1:16) is valued for effects driven by its Medium CBD content (14% – 16%), which far outweighs its very low THC in a 1:16 ratio. Users can expect a gentle, soothing experience that eases the body into a happy, relaxed and gently uplifted state, without a heavy psychoactive high. That makes it an ideal choice for anyone seeking relief from depression, insomnia and muscle spasms while staying clear-headed and functional.
Growing Blueberry CBD (1:16) means a strain that delivers consistent therapeutic effects. The balance between CBD and low THC ensures a calming experience often sought by medicinal users and wellness enthusiasts, rounded out by its piney, woody aroma over a soft sweet undertone, a versatile option for both medicinal and recreational use.
Germinating CBD Blueberry (1:16) Cannabis Seeds
It is important to germinate your CBD Blueberry (1:16) cannabis seeds carefully if you want to have a healthy harvest from day one. Although there are several methods to germinate our CBD cannabis seeds, from Blimburn Seeds we recommend our customers to follow our easy and simple technique.
Before removing our Blueberry CBD Strain (1:16) from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. The PH of our hands full of bacteria can easily infect them and ruin our germination.
Set Up Your Germination Station: Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.
Monitoring: Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.
Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ºF – 78.8 ºF (21 ºC – 26 ºC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.
Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not use alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.
CBD Blueberry (1:16) Flowering Time
Blueberry CBD (1:16) has a relatively short flowering time, typically 8 to 10 weeks. That quick turnaround comes from its indica genetics and makes it appealing for growers who want to avoid a lengthy flowering period. Its indica dominance also gives it a robust, bushy structure that thrives both indoors and outdoors.
For growers, that flowering time is a real advantage: it allows efficient planning and turnover, especially in controlled environments where conditions can be optimized for the best yield. Its adaptability and manageable cycle make Blueberry CBD (1:16) a rewarding project for novice and experienced growers alike, promising a generous yield of high-quality, CBD-rich buds.
How To Grow CBD Blueberry Seeds (1:16)?
Blueberry CBD Strain can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions, to avoid any problems during their development. Although they are moderately easy to grow and hardy, we should always prevent any pests.
You can use different growing methods to retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your Blueberry CBD (1:16) buds.
Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention.
Thanks to the experience of our customers with our Blueberry CBD (1:16) seeds, we know that we can increase yields by up to 20%.
For optimal indoor cultivation, Blimburn Seeds advises wide, vertical spaces and the use of the ScrOG method to obtain a uniform canopy and increase the size of the lower flowers. If you plan to grow our CBD seeds outdoors, we have developed a grow guide for optimal cultivation in any area of the world.
Remember that our cannabis plants also need good nutrients as seedlings, in their vegetative period and finally in their flowering period.
When you grow outdoors, choose the best date for your crop and a place where the plants receive the most hours of sunshine. If you prefer to grow indoors, use good tents, textile pots, led lighting, an air extractor to circulate clean air and, of course, a good carbon filter to avoid problems with neighbors or the law. Keep daytime temperatures between 68-80 ℉ and nighttime temperatures 7 to 9 ℉ cooler than the day.
CBD plants need low humidity to thrive. Keep relative humidity (RH) at 55%-60% during the vegetative phase, reduce it to around 40% during flowering and to about 30% by harvest.
Outdoors, breeders in the northern hemisphere should sow their cannabis seeds in April for harvest in mid October. Healthy Blueberry CBD (1:16) seeds produce about 17 – 21 oz/plant | 500 – 600 gr/plant of buds each. Indoors, these crops have a flowering time of 8 – 10 weeks and produce about 1.15 – 1.31 oz/ft² | 350 – 400 gr/m².
Ideal Climate
Blueberry CBD (1:16) thrives in a warm, tropical-type climate with mild to warm summers and cool, frost-free autumns. The optimum temperature range for cultivation is 65-75 ℉ (18-24 ℃) for healthy growth. It prefers consistent sunlight, ideally in areas with fewer swings between day and night temperatures.
Good air circulation and well-draining soil are essential to prevent fungal attacks and root rot, common issues in humid, poorly ventilated spaces.
In the United States, suitable climates for this strain include California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. Noted for their high CBD and low THC, Blueberry CBD seeds perform best under these conditions, giving growers a chance to en
